Greeting Delegates.

It is a pleasure to serve as your UN WOMEN committee president. My name is Fernanda Salgado and I am available to help you during the three days in which we will be debating global concerns that affect our community, which are Gender inequality as a contributor to the spread of sexual diseases and Femicides in Latin America.

I believe that this committee will provide us with fundamental opportunities to broaden our perspectives and reflect on female empowerment, where we can collectively face these challenges and come to a solution for meaningful change.

I am pleased to announce that we will have Regina Villafaña as our esteemed moderator and Dulce Huerta as our conference officer. Together we form the chair dedicated to fostering debate and facilitating the exchange of innovative solutions.

I encourage each of you to approach the debate with the desire to collaborate so that it becomes as fluid as possible. Without further ado, I hope you enjoy this experience as much as we do.
